As a growing company, we are looking for a self-motivated individual passionate about customer service, optimizing experience and enhancing the effectiveness of our team. We want to execute winning strategies to ensure we are providing WOW customer service in a safe and effective manner. Currently, Valley Recycling is looking to fill the role of Torch Cutter. In this role, you will inspect heavy metal items, operate fire torches in a safe manner to cut scrap metal down to appropriate sizes and lengths, be able to work outside in the elements, and be physically capable of performing the job duties. All work is in an outdoor environment so you will need to be ok with working in hot and cold temps. Will use a torch to cut pieces of steel off castings and segregate material.

Requirements

Possessing a good mechanical aptitude
Manufacturing experience
Heavy lifting required
Ability to read work instructions
Experience in working in heavy manufacturing environment
Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner
Ability to receive and understand direction from management
Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner
