About The Position

The Operational Intelligence team within Consumer Technology is seeking an engineer to help improve and operate its large Splunk environment. The role is an individual-contributor position on the Splunk Engineering Team, responsible for managing, expanding, upgrading, automating, and improving the performance and sustainability of Splunk deployments across the enterprise. The successful candidate will work hands-on as an engineer or architect and drive implementation using Lean Agile methodology. The position also focuses on automation tools and processes for CI/CD, software testing, and deployment. It requires collaboration with technology, business, development, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements, integrate tools into the software development lifecycle and infrastructure, resolve technical issues, and maintain documentation.

Requirements

5–8 years of experience.
ITIL Change Management experience.
Strong engineering background.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage, expand, upgrade, automate, and improve the performance and sustainability of the Splunk environment.
Handle Splunk system architecture, data analytics, performance management, automation, and some administration across enterprise deployments.
Use Lean Agile methodology to drive implementation.
Communicate with technology and business groups to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Develop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other tools.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle.
Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment.
Work with infrastructure teams to integrate automation tools with appropriate infrastructure components.
Identify and address technical issues with automation tools and processes.
Develop and maintain documentation for automation tools and processes.
