About The Position

This position is responsible for delivering and retrieving dies, tools, and fixtures in wax molding or other production areas. The role involves accurately cataloging, logging out, and storing tools and dies, as well as performing cleaning and minor maintenance on tools. The Training Schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and the Work Schedule is Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of tools and the molding process, as demonstrated by competent performance for 6 - 12 months of Mold Machine Operator C or B duties (not in the machine shop facility), is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience.
  • Basic ability to follow instructions, read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing ten to fifty pounds and occasionally up to one hundred pounds.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods of time.
  • PCC's Fork Lift Driving Safety Certification Training must be completed.
  • May be required to complete Hazardous Waste Handling Training as directed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating a forklift is desirable (specifically at TBO and LSBO plants).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and retrieve dies, tools, and fixtures in wax molding or other production areas.
  • Catalogue, log out, and store tools and dies accurately.
  • Clean and provide minor tool maintenance.
  • Review production schedules and/or work from verbal instructions.
  • Locate appropriate Tech cards and tools, dies, fixtures.
  • Deliver and place tools, dies, and fixtures on appropriate molding machines.
  • Collect tools, dies, fixtures, and Tech cards and place them in the appropriate storage area.
  • Update the tool and fixture tracking system (TFTS) and maintain the outgoing log.
  • Maintain dies and tools in working order.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble large complex dies and insert changes.
  • Complete minor repairs of tools.
  • Complete logs and records of daily activities.
  • Maintain Tech Card files.
  • Maintain physical inventory and inventory records.
  • Act as backup lead or operator (may vary by plant location).
  • Notify operators of wax changes.
  • Handle hazardous waste materials (may be required).
  • Adhere to plant and department safety rules.
  • Safely operate all equipment and tools.
  • Identify and report safety problems.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.
