About The Position

As a Toolmaker at Novo Precision, you will craft precision tools, dies, and special guiding and holding devices essential to the production process. You will work with engineering and production teams to create and maintain high-quality tools that meet the company’s standards. The role involves reading technical drawings, operating manual machine tools, fabricating and repairing tooling, testing and maintaining tools, and recording modifications and repairs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in manual machining.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices and toolroom procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Trade or technical school education.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Fabricate and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Test tools to ensure they meet specifications and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and dies.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling processes.
• Maintain accurate records of tool modifications and repairs.
