About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Toolmaker to join our precision manufacturing team. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional with comprehensive expertise in toolmaking operations, including CNC milling, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), and precision grinding. The ideal candidate will possess 4 to 20 years of hands-on experience in tool and die manufacturing, demonstrating exceptional technical proficiency and attention to detail. As a Toolmaker, you will play a critical role in designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures that are essential to our manufacturing operations. You will work with various materials and utilize advanced machining techniques to produce components that meet exacting specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 4 to 20 years of hands-on experience in tool and die manufacturing

  • Ability to conduct in-process inspections and make necessary adjustments
  • Ability to troubleshoot CNC programming issues

Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, and modify precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and gauges according to engineering specifications and blueprints
  • Interpret complex technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications to determine tooling requirements
  • Select appropriate materials and determine optimal machining methods for each project
  • Create detailed work plans and establish machining sequences to ensure efficient production
  • Fabricate prototype tools and conduct testing to verify functionality and performance
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision tool components
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs using G-code or CAM software to achieve required tolerances
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials and operations
  • Perform complex multi-axis machining operations with precision and accuracy
  • Conduct in-process inspections and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
  • Troubleshoot CNC programming issues and implement corrective measures
