About The Position

This role involves constructing, refurbishing, and repairing mold components using CNC and manual machines. The position is available at multiple levels (I, II, III), with higher levels involving more responsibility in supervision, programming, and specialized skills. Requirements

High school education / GED equivalent
Ability to occasionally climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance.
Ability to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others. Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.
Able to accurately read blue prints.
Ability to push/pull loads of approximately 75 lbs at a minimum of 10 times per day/shift.
Able to stand/walk for 7.5 hours of an 8-hour shift.
Must be a Certified Journeyman Tool Maker or have equivalent experience (Level III).
Has experience in at least one of the following areas: Grinding, Mill, Lathe, Welding, Polish, EDM, Turn, Quality and / or Assembly, etc. (Level III).
Strong work history of consistent attendance and overtime flexibility (Level II & I).
Must be a Certified Journeyman Tool Maker or have equivalent experience (Level II).
Has significant experience in at least two of the following areas: Grinding, Mill, Lathe, Welding, Polish, EDM, Turn, Quality and / or Assembly, etc. (Level II).
Ability to program using Mastercam, CNC, and / or Mazatrol (Level II).
Understands the injection or blow molding process and how each component affects the total outcome (Level II).
Must be Certified Journeyman Tool Maker (Level I).
Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees (Level I).
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously (Level I).
Have advanced knowledge of Mastercam, CNC and / or Mazatrol software (Level I).
Fully understand the injection or blow molding process and how each component we make affects the total outcome (Level I).
Has significant expertise in two or more of the following areas: Grinding, Mill, Lathe, Welding, Polish, EDM, Turn, Quality and / or Assembly, etc. (Level I).

Responsibilities

Use caution and support systems to assure a safety event free facility.
Respond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures.
Observe, respond and report any instance of product, service, or quality systems non-conformity.
Security diligence, including maintaining control of key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to Berry facilities by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry equipment and information.
Successfully complete Primary Duties as outlined in 4.0 and associated training.
Operate assigned make of CNC or manual machine(s).
Use precision measuring tools to accurately record dimensions of components.
Assist superiors in any day to day activity.
Maintain cleanliness of shop.
Work overtime as needed.
Develop better understanding of machine functions and the setup process (Level III).
Learn Mastercam, CNC and / or Mazatrol programming (Level III).
Learn how to hold tight tolerances in efficient time (Level III).
Hold tight tolerances in efficient time (Level II).
Program using Mastercam, CNC, and / or Mazatrol (Level II).
Perform general CNC operations from setup to finish dimension (Level II).
Read and understand blue prints (Level II).
Develop skills in quality investigation, CMM operation, Assembly, or other focus areas within the Tool Shop (Level II).
Use shop schedule to accurately schedule operations within individual work cell (Level II).
Assist superiors with work flow in shop and completion schedule (Level II).
Train and assist Level III and II Journeymen to hold tight tolerances in efficient time (Level I).
Read blue prints and direct others on processes (Level I).
Use shop schedule to accurately schedule projects within area cells (Level I).
Assist superiors with decision making in machining processes, quality investigation, and / or CMM operation (Level I).
