The Tooling Assistant plays a key role in the daily operations; it is essential that print plates and cutting dies are delivered to each machine without any machine downtime. This role involves printing a tooling report each shift to view upcoming orders and the necessary print plates and cutting dies. The assistant will safely pull and handle these items from the racking system and deliver them to the appropriate machine centers. Additionally, the role includes revising and dropping dies to the appropriate location for pickups and repairs, receiving incoming print plates and cutting dies, and assisting the Tooling Coordinator in recording into the KIWI system. Maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping in the work area, using required safety protective devices, reporting safety hazards, and following company policies are also crucial. The position requires assisting co-workers, completing a monthly die purge, and ensuring adherence to SQF, Quality, HACCP, and GMP standards. Overtime may be required to cover shifts and manufacturing needs.
