Currently the position involves the acquisition of all spare parts and tooling and the control of inventory. Requirements

  • Ability to appropriately handle stress and interact with others.
  • Must have aptitude required to understand the machining process.
  • Ability to read varying manufacturers’ nomenclature.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
  • Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders for parts, products, and service calls in Manufacturing plant.
  • Assure an accurate inventory by checking critical inventory reports and reordering as needed.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes, lead times, and capabilities to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
  • Assist all departments and services in Manufacturing with purchasing tooling, components, machine parts and supplies.
  • Fill in with assisting operators in setting up and/or ordering tooling if the Tooling Technician is unavailable
