About The Position

The Tool Trailer Coordinator manages the daily operations of an on-site tool trailer and tool rooms. The role issues tools to customers, inspects returned tools, performs visual safety inspections, maintains fleet and consumable levels, and uses or creates reporting mechanisms as needed. The coordinator also serves as the primary customer contact, helps mobilize and set up the trailer at customer sites, maintains a clean and presentable trailer, and communicates with customers to ensure tool quantities remain sufficient in coordination with a manager. This position is designated Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of tools and their applications.
Ability to work independently.
Team-oriented approach and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
75% travel is required as needed.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 months of inside sales or onsite plant/construction experience is preferred.
Basic computer skills and the ability to acquire industrial facility credentials are desirable.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary contact for customers.
Mark and enter tools in the Total Control system.
Assist with mobilizing and setting up the trailer at the customer’s site.
Maintain a clean and presentable trailer.
Communicate regularly with customers to maintain sufficient tool quantities in coordination with a manager.
Issue tools to customers and inspect returned tools.
Perform visual safety inspections of tooling.
Maintain fleet and consumable levels and utilize or create reporting mechanisms as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
