About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Tool Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in Cincinnati, OH. This role involves providing general maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company-owned tooling and small equipment. Mechanics will have the opportunity to work on the newest equipment in the industry. The position utilizes technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. This is a hybrid role between shop technician, yard technician, and delivery driver when needed. The role requires comfortable use of technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phone) and performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools (pneumatic tools, material lifts, chain hoists, core drills, welders, pipe threaders, small engines) under the supervision of higher-tier technicians and while using a high degree of independent judgment. Maintaining paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis is essential. Assisting with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts is also part of the role. Year-round company-provided OEM training is offered.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics and diagrams
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Active applicable state class driver's license
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
  • Employment is contingent on passing a background check.

  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements
  • Construction knowledge and background preferred

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools (pneumatic tools, material lifts, chain hoists, core drills, welders, pipe threaders, small engines) under the supervision of higher-tier technicians and while using a high degree of independent judgment
