About The Position

Halliburton is hiring for Tool Tech II, Tool Tech III, or Tool Tech IV opportunities in Completion Tools, depending on the candidate’s education, experience, and skill level. Under general supervision, the role repairs and maintains conventional tools, down-hole tools, and related equipment used in down-hole tool applications. Specialization may involve mechanical aptitude, pressure testing, surface equipment, or down-hole tools. The position is based in New Iberia, Louisiana, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or similar education.
• 6–12 months of experience as a Tool Technician I or equivalent tool technician training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain conventional tools, down-hole tools, and related equipment.
• Maintain, inspect, and repair surface equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble down-hole tools.
• Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and comply with applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
• Promote and actively participate in the quality improvement process.
