About The Position

At United Rentals, the Equipment Associate performs manual tasks that support smooth branch operations and assist service technicians, sales staff, and other branch personnel in meeting customer needs. The position offers opportunities for advancement into Driver and Service Technician development programs. This role is designated Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Effective communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Check returned equipment for damage, hours used, mileage, and fuel level.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and compliance, and confirm it is in good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare it for rental.
• Check out and demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Drive a delivery truck to pick up and drop off equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
