Requirements

  • Working knowledge of EH&S rules and regulations.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High School diploma and related experience (minimum of three years in production, quality, or warehouse environment).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Strong leadership, planning and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and all EH&S initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs the various tooling functions including tool room and tool crib departments.
  • Utilizes lean manufacturing techniques to improve tool room performance and support all production efforts.
  • Teams with the Manufacturing Manager, Production Leaders, and support personnel to ensure on-time delivery, production and inventory goals are met.
  • Follows all ISO/IATF requirements and programs.
  • Coordinates training and managing tool room personnel, including setting performance goals, and conducting evaluations.
  • Oversees daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring all production targets and quality standards are met.
  • Supervises, trains, and motivates a team of production workers to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and safety.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinates with other department supervisors to optimize production planning and inventory control.
  • Monitors and reports on production performance and implements strategies for improvement.
  • Handles troubleshooting issues swiftly and effectively to minimize downtime.
  • Approves overtime, vacations, and other personnel administrative requests.
  • Leads and facilitates daily production meetings.
  • Delivers quality products and drives process improvements.
  • Collaborates with other departments to synchronize production processes in alignment with operational goals.
  • Follows all IATF requirements and programs.
  • Provides support in all areas of troubleshooting to resolve any issues.
  • Assists in achieving productivity and quality metrics on shop.
  • Provides direction, coordination, and evaluation for second shift employees.
  • Ensures work being performed is accurately and efficiently in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Manufacturing Instructions, IATF Procedures and other relevant documents.
  • Understands and follows all health, safety, environmental regulations/rules always.
  • Always maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Maximizes equipment run time and material yield.
  • Performs visual, mechanical and process audits as required.
  • Accurately completes reports, logs, and other documentation.
  • Understands and consistently meets company, team, profile, and behavioral expectations.
  • Understands and follows Company policies and procedures.
  • Understands how to access electronic information, including work instructions and procedures.
  • Participates in team environment and completes assignments for various functions including (but not limited to) EHS and Continuous Improvement.
