The Eberhard Manufacturing team is seeking a Tool Room Machinist for our facility in Strongsville, OH. This is a 1st shift, full-time position. The Tool Room Machinist will be responsible for job duties in the Tool & Die department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to identify process reduction ideas on each job as assigned
  • Able to perform part / gage layout to determine repairs needed

Nice To Haves

  • Crane operation and function
  • CNC programming / operation
  • Ability to generate detail prints from concepts or reverse engineering existing components
  • Journeyman’s card or equivalent a plus
  • Wire EDM programing and operation experience a plus (with the opportunity to learn)

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings.
  • Produce details, components, drawings or concepts.
  • Set up, adjust and operate all basic Tool room machines, tools and many specialized or advanced variations tools.
  • Understand, Monitor and control cutting feed rate and speeds.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations
  • Multi-tasking ability to work on multiple jobs at one time.
  • Build, maintain, gages and fixtures (welding, part checking, machining)
  • Knowledge of different types of steels.
  • Proper cutting feeds and speeds for each.
  • Knowledge of tool steel heat treating
  • Knowledge of Tool room measuring equipment (mics, calipers, depth mics, height gage, etc...)
  • Safety prioritization
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Maintain department’s perishable tooling
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Tool Room Coordinator
