About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Tool Room Associate to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining, repairing, and fabricating tooling that keeps our production lines running efficiently. The Tool Room Associate is responsible for machining, repairing, modifying, and maintaining tooling, dies, fixtures, and precision components used in high-speed manufacturing. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, maximizing equipment performance, and minimizing production downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or machine shop experience
  • Experience operating machine shop equipment and using precision measuring tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or vocational training in Tool & Die, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with CNC machining and basic CNC programming
  • Knowledge of tooling fabrication, repair, and rebuild processes
  • Experience with OD/ID grinding, jig grinding, or similar precision machining operations
  • Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform machining operations on a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous, and composite materials
  • Repair, modify, and fabricate tooling components, dies, fixtures, and replacement parts
  • Operate manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment
  • Support tooling refurbishment and precision component manufacturing
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
  • Prepare and maintain tooling inventory and tool sets for production operations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot tooling-related issues
  • Analyze tooling failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with tooling upgrades, equipment rebuilds, and process improvement initiatives
  • Recommend solutions to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend tool life
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
