About The Position

Anchor Packaging, a Georgia-Pacific company, is seeking a Tool Prep Tech at its Jonesboro, Arkansas facility. The primary responsibility is to set up and operate conventional and special-purpose machines to clean production tooling. The role involves reading technical documents, maintaining and cleaning tooling and work areas, performing maintenance, identifying tooling damage, and collaborating with others to solve tool-cleaning problems. The position pays $21.00 to $23.60 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Anchor Packaging designs and manufactures rigid food containers and food-service cling film. It aims to protect food and the environment by using materials intended to reduce food and packaging waste and conserve natural resources. The Jonesboro facility is part of Georgia-Pacific, a Koch company.

Requirements

Experience using a micrometer, vernier calipers, ice-cleaning equipment, a drill press, and other production tools.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals.
Maintain and secure work tools.
Clean and maintain production tooling and the facility work area.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on tooling.
Troubleshoot tooling and recognize damage.
Use a micrometer, vernier calipers, ice-cleaning equipment, a drill press, and other production tools.
Work with supervisors, engineers, production personnel, programmers, and others to resolve tool-cleaning problems.
Develop specifications from a general description and draw a sketch of the part to be fabricated.
