As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for providing strategic technical tooling support to Operations projects (Production) as well as R&D and New Product Development (NPD). This position requires hands-on toolmaking experience to identify and troubleshoot technical tool issues in production, oversee fixture and instrument component fabrication, and service and maintain production tooling and fixtures from engineering prints and 3-D CAD. You must have experience with instrument/fixture design and in-depth knowledge of milling, turning, machining, grinding, wire EDM, sinker EDM, and CNC systems and their capabilities. This role will provide input, guidance, and technical support on new Mold builds, fixtures, modifications, and improvements based on experience and common practice. This position requires a hands-on person who can perform all tooling manufacturing functions during the fabrication, maintenance, or repair of any instrument, fixture, or tool, if necessary. This position will be responsible for time and cost estimations for project timelines.
