About The Position

The Muskegon Toolmaker, using CAD models, manufactures fixture and gage details and assembles components to complete functional assembly within allowable tolerances, within expected time frame and within forecast costs. They are also expected to make necessary fixture and gage repairs to keep with job running while producing parts that meet the blueprint. Ability to use NC WEDM and VMC machines as well as traditional tool making equipment such as knee-mills and surface grinders to manufacture and repair fixtures and gauges. Ability to use CAM and CAD software.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Apprenticeship Certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift (Apprentice will work all shifts and training will likely start on 1st shift)
  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience building aerospace tooling
  • Must supply their own hand tools
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining
  • Ability to prove status as a U.S. Person (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, granted asylee or refugee status)
