1st Shift Tool Maintenance
About The Position
At ABB, this role supports the Tooling team by conducting activities according to agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures and helping increase the overall efficiency of equipment and the production line. The position is onsite and reports to the Tooling Planner/Supervisor. The work schedule consists of 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed to meet customer demand. Duties include sorting and arranging tools for storage, performing routine activities according to established procedures, picking components from stock for dispatch, and sharpening tooling such as taps and chasers using machining equipment and hand tools. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software, specifically Excel and Word.
- Working knowledge of inventory accuracy and cycle counting.
- Ability to research and resolve problems or issues in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Sort and arrange tools for storage according to guidelines.
- Execute routine activities according to established procedures.
- Pick components from stock for dispatch.
- Sharpen tooling, including taps and chasers, using machining equipment and hand tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support the efficiency of equipment and the production line.
