About The Position
Performs functions to assist in the preventive maintenance and upkeep of extrusion tooling to include extrusion dies, calibrators, templates, water tanks and all associative parts.
Requirements
- Extrusion background
- Knowledge of profiles
- Ability to communicate professionally on extrusion requirements and scheduling
- Good attendance and must be willing and able to work overtime as required
- Work well with others as part of a team
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
Responsibilities
- Maintain extrusion tooling (i.e. dies, calibrators, templates, etc.).
- Operation of ultrasonic cleaner
- Proficient in calibration polishing
- Proficient in calibrator assembly
- Working knowledge of the extrusion process
- Working knowledge of miscellaneous equipment used in the extrusion process
- Knowledge and identification of profiles extruded
- Working knowledge of scheduling
- Operation of forklift
- Walk / stand for 8 hours a day and lift up to 35 pounds
- Assemble and set-up miscellaneous tooling required for extrusion
- Polish calibrators and templates
- Maintain and organize extrusion tooling and miscellaneous parts
- Preventive maintenance and repair of extrusion tooling
- Work with supervisors as required in priorities
- Ensure safety, quality and good housekeeping
- Train others as required
- Assist maintenance as required
- As directed by manager / supervisor
