Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent preferable.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and blueprints.
  • Has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Has the ability to perform advanced mathematical functions in order to manage product inventory and balance operational budgets.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
  • Regularly required to sit; talk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk or hear and smell.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Constructing, altering, and repairing highly complex custom tools, molds, jigs, fixtures, and gauges
  • Utilize toolroom equipment to ensure tooling is meet to customer specifications. Tools including lathe, milling machine, grinders, welders, drill press.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints
  • Ability to utilize measuring equipment such as tape measure, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of dies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Training as needed. To include issues from quality, safety, cleanliness, teamwork and total quality management.
  • This position has the responsibility to assist fellow employees, report unsafe working conditions/equipment, and is involved with quality maintenance procedures.
  • May halt production line/maintenance work related to product/die nonconformities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company business and products.
