About The Position
MAT Industries, Inc. is a growing manufacturing company seeking a Tool & Die Maker for their Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm shift. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications to stamping & forming equipment at the Jackson, TN facility. The company is a leading manufacturer of air compressors, accessories, and air brake tanks, with products found in various retail and automotive sectors. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, well-organized, and able to maintain high personal standards of quality. Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills are essential. The position requires the ability to multi-task and work with a diverse group of individuals.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance & repairs on both progressive & single stroke metal stamping dies
- Assist in troubleshooting issues with stamping & forming equipment including stamping dies, presses, benders, etc.
- Provide feedback on adjustments needed to die PMs to reduce downtime & improve part quality.
- Perform general machine shop work using conventional mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
- Assist in development of new stamping dies & modifications to existing dies to extend life & improve part quality.
- Submit purchase requisition for parts & components needed for die repair & maintenance.
- Identify critical parts & make recommendations on spares components to inventory.
