About The Position
Adler Pelzer Group, a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry, is seeking a motivated and committed Tooling Technician for the manufacturing operations in Oregon, OH. Flexibility is required for this 1st Shift position.
Requirements
- Must have own tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily shop inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Exposure to metal fabrication, welding (Stick, MIG and TIG).
- Ability to weld aluminum and steel.
- Performs all tasks in a safe manner.
- Comply with safety rules and company policies.
- Set-Up and get molds ready for each mold change.
- Maintain thermoplastic molds to ensure consistent quality, output and yield.
- Complete daily mold change sheets and other required paperwork.
- Complete/participate in any and all PPS activities as directed by Supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with production team members, Team Leaders, Engineers, and Inspectors to ensure quality installation of molds.
- Troubleshoot issues with the molds.
- Perform preventive maintenance on injection mold tooling and prior to mold changes.
- Trouble shoot any problems involved with mold changes.
- Remove and install Hot Runner Service.
- Support Engineers with tool design reviews on new builds.
- Ability to determine feasibilities of engineering changes during design review.
