POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Tool & Die Machinist is responsible for the fabrication, or repair, of various components using traditional, non-CNC machining equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working autonomously, while leaning into their strong problem-solving skills performing progressive die maintenance and troubleshooting. The Tool & Die Machinist thrives in a highly technical environment, while always operating with a safety-first mindset, and is motivated to produce product with the highest quality standards to satisfy our growing customer base.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Tool & Die Machining experience OR 2+ years of formal training in Tool & Die Technology
  • 5+ years’ experience with progressive stamping dies
  • Demonstrated ability to safely set-up, calibrate and operate manual machining equipment
  • Ability to lift, push & pull up to 50 lbs

  • Experience having worked in a bearings and power transmission industry

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and repair components using standard machining industry principles and practices
  • Work cross-functionally to help support other production stations and resolve tooling issues as needed
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, samples and other reference materials to fabricate components
  • Safely set-up, calibrate and operate manual machining equipment, including: Milling machines, Lathes, Surface Grinders and ID/OD Grinders
  • Communicate quality inconsistencies with Operations Leadership to identify a proper solution
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures, while maintaining a clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
