About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tool Room Tech to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient management of materials, equipment, and tooling necessary for our production processes. If you are organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, we encourage you to apply. This position is over the nights and weekends, typically Friday-Sunday; includes WES pay differential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or experience in inventory management or tooling preferred.
  • Proven experience in a tool room, warehouse, or inventory management role is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate basic computer systems and inventory software.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials and tools as required.
  • Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
  • Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
  • Resource Management (People & Equipment) - Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment, facilities, materials, as well as personnel.
  • Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct.

  • Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • One to two years related experience
  • Ability to use a personal computer and associated business ERP software.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (safety eyewear and steel toe shoe)

Nice To Haves

  • Tooling Machine trade vocational training or equivalent work related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, count, and record stock items manually or using computer systems to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Verify inventory accuracy by comparing physical counts with recorded data, investigating discrepancies, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Store items in an organized manner to facilitate easy access and inventory control.
  • Set up tooling for production orders to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Repair and maintain tooling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Keep detailed records of stock movements, tooling setup, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in compiling stock reports and maintaining accurate inventory documentation.
  • Follow safety protocols and company policies in all activities to promote a safe working environment.
