This role seeks a highly organized and values-driven individual to join the team as a Tool Crib Attendant/Driver. In this dual role, the individual will support crews by managing the tool crib with care and craftsmanship and safely transporting tools and equipment to job sites. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, communicates clearly, and understands that safety, integrity, and strong relationships are foundational to everything IME does.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
  • Capable of bending, stooping, and reaching as required by the role
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong due diligence and risk assessment abilities
  • Demonstrates impeccable integrity and ethical behavior with internal and external stakeholders
  • Takes ownership of work and follows through with precision and care
  • Familiarity with basic tools and equipment
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • History of reliable, detail-oriented, and accountable work
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience managing tools, equipment, and inventory in a tool crib or similar environment
  • Comfortable with prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Skilled in hooking/unhooking trailers, secure loads, and safely entering and exiting large vehicles
  • Willing to work outdoors and in active construction environments
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English as required for DOT compliance
  • Possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain job‑site security badging, including restricted sites (e.g., DEN badge)
  • Must pass required background checks, fingerprinting, and identity verification
  • Continued employment contingent upon maintaining badge eligibility
  • Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses, DOT medical certification, drug and alcohol compliance, driving record standards, and job site badging eligibility.

  • Demonstrated experience operating large vehicles up to 26,000 GVWR, including stake bed trucks

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, precise, and well-organized tool crib that reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and safety.
  • Track inventory levels, reorder supplies as needed, and ensure tools and equipment are readily available to support project needs.
  • Issue tools based on requests and requirements, and conduct routine inventory audits to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Inspect tools for damage, defects, or wear prior to issuing them, taking ownership to ensure tools are safe, reliable, and ready for use.
  • Coordinate repairs or replacements as needed, helping build smarter systems that make work easier and safer for everyone.
  • Maintain accurate and transparent records of tool issues, returns, repairs, and inventory levels.
  • Generate reports that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Update and manage the tool crib database with integrity and attention to detail.
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport tools and equipment to and from job sites, ensuring timely, secure, and professional delivery.
  • Follow all traffic laws, maintain a clean driving record, and represent the company with professionalism and care while on the road.
  • Build strong working relationships through honest, clear, and respectful communication.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project tool requirements and proactively communicate regarding availability, timing, and distribution.
  • Actively support a culture of safety by following established protocols when handling tools and operating vehicles.
  • Participate in safety training and remain vigilant in identifying potential risks.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free tool crib that prioritizes the well-being of the entire team.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
