About The Position

We are currently seeking a Tool Crib Coordinator to join our team in Kingston! The Tool Crib Coordinator is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations, organization, and maintenance of the regional tool crib. This role ensures tools, equipment, and consumables are accurately tracked, available, certified, and returned in a timely manner to support project execution and meet departmental KPIs. The Tool Crib Coordinator plays a key role in supporting field teams by coordinating tool distribution, maintaining inventory accuracy, and acting as a point of communication between job sites, procurement, and operations. Reliable access to tools and equipment is critical to keeping projects on schedule and crews productive. This role directly supports field operations by ensuring the right tools are available, compliant, and ready for use, while maintaining accurate inventory records and certifications. The Tool Crib Coordinator helps reduce downtime, improve accountability, and support safe, efficient project delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel
  • Clear and professional communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, operations, and vendors
  • Comfortable working in a role that is approximately 75% administrative / office‑based and 25% warehouse or tool crib‑based
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse or tool crib environment and able to wear required PPE, including steel‑toed safety boots

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of construction tools and equipment
  • Previous experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or construction support role
  • Experience working with inventory or asset‑tracking systems

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process tool requisitions for projects and field teams
  • Order tools and equipment from suppliers via phone or email
  • Coordinate deliveries and dispatch company trucking; maintain and populate the delivery calendar
  • Track and manage annual and semi‑annual tool certifications and calibrations
  • Organize external tool and equipment rentals, including delivery and removal with vendors
  • Maintain company vehicle lists, including assignment, mileage, and maintenance records
  • Renew and distribute company license plates annually
  • Maintain inventory records, documentation, and filing systems
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties related to tool crib operations
  • Support warehouse and tool crib organization and upkeep
  • Perform other duties as required
