About The Position

The Tool and Die role maintains, inspects, and repairs dies, embossing rolls, transfer rolls, and calibration equipment to ensure production tooling is available and meets quality standards. The role performs product changes according to the production schedule, completes preventative maintenance and housekeeping tasks, and may operate mobile equipment and extrusion machines. The position requires working any shift and overtime as needed, following safety rules and initiatives, and contributing to 5S events.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Attention to detail.
• One year of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to use small hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Team-oriented, with a proven safety and attendance record.
• Familiarity with the AMMS system.
• Proficiency in operating extrusion lines and a good general understanding of the process.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work any shift.
• Willingness to learn and operate extrusion machines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dies, embossing rolls, transfer rolls, and calibration equipment for production use.
• Inspect and repair tooling to ensure quality tooling is available for production.
• Perform product changes in accordance with the production schedule.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Perform department housekeeping, including trash removal, and observe housekeeping throughout the facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
• Operate mobile equipment, including boom and scissor lifts.
• Contribute to 5S events as needed.
• Understand and observe all safety rules and initiatives.
• Work overtime and any shift as needed.
• Learn and operate extrusion machines.
