About The Position

KidBridge Learning Centers, founded in Pembroke in 2011, utilizes a play-based learning approach, integrating Creative Curriculum, weekly STEM lessons, and a literacy focus to provide children with a well-rounded and joyful early education from infancy. As part of the Magical Beginnings family of early learning centers, we are seeking a Classroom Teacher for our Toddler wing. This role is dedicated to the early development of children aged 15 months to 2.9 years. The ideal candidate is an energetic, creative, and compassionate team player committed to delivering exceptional childcare and collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Requirements

  • EEC Infant/Toddler Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience
  • Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
  • Patience, positive energy, and a love for helping young children meet and exceed their developmental goals
  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
  • Inform parents by posting information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
  • Provide a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
  • Encourage children's participation through age-appropriate interactive activities.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, including routine opening/closing tasks like wiping down toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming, sanitizing, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, and preparing the classroom for the next day.
  • Engage with students in free play, supervise during outdoor time, assist with bathroom needs (including toilet training and diapering), assist with snacks and meals (preparing bottles, heating lunches, cutting food, opening containers, supervision), and assist with naptime.
  • Adhere to the daily classroom schedule and assist other teachers.
  • Track children's progress and complete assessments.
  • Maintain EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Create a fun and safe learning environment for students.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
