About The Position

Cornerstone CDC, a private preschool in the St. Matthews area of Louisville, is seeking a full-time Toddler Teacher to join our staff. This teacher will partner with a team teacher to plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum for a classroom of adorable and eager children! We are seeking candidates who are energetic, nurturing and enjoy working as part of a team. We are a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool program where we focus on the whole child--empowering their thoughts, questions, interests, and in turn fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Requirements

• Teaching experience in a Type I childcare facility or school system.
• CDA/Associate's Degree or higher.
• Movement in and out of chairs.
• Sitting and getting up from a seated position on the floor.
• Prolonged amounts of time standing both in and outdoors.
• Lifting weight of up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum for a classroom of children.
• Work as part of a team teacher to plan and implement curriculum.
• Focus on the whole child, empowering their thoughts, questions, and interests.
• Foster a lifelong love of learning.
