About The Position

The Learning Experience - East Brunswick is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Toddler Teacher who loves the energy, curiosity, and excitement of the toddler years! Our Toddler Teachers help young children develop language, independence, confidence, and social skills through engaging activities, hands-on exploration, and meaningful relationships. If you enjoy watching little personalities blossom and helping children discover what they can do, we'd love to meet you!

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education experience preferred
Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials preferred
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Patient, energetic, dependable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging Toddler classroom environment
Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Engage children through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, and hands-on learning
Encourage language development, independence, and positive social interactions
Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and daily classroom transitions
Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
Observe and document children's developmental milestones and progress
Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
Collaborate with classroom teachers and center leadership
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
