About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to create an engaging classroom where young children can explore, communicate, and develop confidence through hands-on learning and play. We are connecting with qualified early childhood educators interested in opportunities at our South Lyon-area childcare centers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required
• Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
• Patient, energetic, dependable, and confident leading a classroom

Nice To Haves

• Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Toddler classroom activities and routines
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Engage children through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, and language
• Encourage communication, independence, and positive social interactions
• Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and classroom transitions
• Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
• Observe and document children's developmental progress
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
• Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
