About The Position

At Anew Era TMS & Psychiatry, the TMS Technician provides patient care and customer service using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), a treatment modality for depression. The technician administers in-office therapeutic treatments under the direction of a treating physician and provides clinical, administrative, and operational support. The role involves regular patient interaction and calls for empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented approach. The position is full-time, on site in Laguna Hills, California, with varying hours. The stated pay range is $20–$25 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Familiarity with clinical scheduling and insurance principles.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of related experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with providers, admissions, and the practice administrator to ensure patient scheduling and care delivery are completed timely and effectively.
Address patients’ medical conditions or symptoms.
Operate a medical/mechanical device.
Support daily facility operations and maintain knowledge of behavioral health services.
Check patients in and out and verify their demographics at each clinic visit.
Verify and collect patient payments at check-in.
Answer telephone calls promptly, take messages, and schedule appointments as needed.
Explain and administer patient treatment procedures.
Use patient scheduling software.
Monitor patients for medical symptoms.
Provide medical intervention in emergency situations.
