The Alternate Title Specialist investigates titling issues using decision making and problem-solving skills to move vehicles through the pipeline to Auction. This involves networking across the country with our field operations for best practices and processes, staying up-to-date with legislative changes impacting the vehicle titling industry, and utilizing virtual multi-platform databases including government DMV/BMV third party sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least one year of office support experience in a customer service or sales role
  • Title processing experience is a plus
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Solid work ethic and sound decision making ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with built in checks and balances
  • Highly motivated with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Utilize decision making and problem solving skills to clear aged insurance claim vehicle inventory
  • Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle title issues such as odometer discrepancies and power of attorney
  • Understand and apply DMV laws, rules, and regulations related to insurance claim vehicles
  • Identify, analyze, and process ownership documents in line with company and state transfer guidelines
  • Perform administrative duties including data entry, follow ups, reporting, and document processing
