About The Position
This position is for a Title I Sign Language Aide III working in a Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) program, providing one-on-one support. The role involves assisting students with sign language communication and educational needs.
Requirements
- High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., General Education Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.)
- Minimum of 48 credit hours from an accredited college/university, or a passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro assessment.
- Signing abilities as determined by a Clark County School District-approved test.
- A valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card.
- Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization. Certification must be maintained for duration of assignment. Certification training must be in-person and include a hands-on component. Online courses will not be accepted. A copy of the front and back of the CPR/AED certificate must be uploaded into the application.
Nice To Haves
- National Association for the Deaf (NAD) Level I or II certification.
- One (1) year of experience working with special education children.
