About The Position
Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Title Clerk to manage vehicle titling and registration for their dealership group. This role is responsible for ensuring every deal is processed accurately and in compliance with state requirements, protecting the store from penalties and keeping customers' paperwork on track. The position is an office-based role within a respected accounting team.
Requirements
- Automotive title clerk or DMV/registration experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Texas titling and registration requirements a plus.
- Familiarity with DMS platforms and general office software.
- Highly organized, dependable, and deadline-driven.
Responsibilities
- Process titles, registrations, and tax/title/license paperwork accurately on every new and used deal.
- Submit and track title work with the state and lienholders, staying ahead of every deadline.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of deal documentation before processing.
- Maintain organized records and aggressively follow up on outstanding titles and missing documents.
- Resolve title issues and communicate clearly with sales, customers, and lenders.
- Process out-of-state and dealer-trade titles correctly and on time.
- Ensure full compliance with Texas titling laws, fees, and timelines.
