Titans After School Program Instructors work with groups of up to 25 students in grades 3 through 8. They provide supervision, tutoring, homework assistance, educational enrichment, recreation, prevention activities, and positive youth development in a fun, organized, safe, and supportive environment. Instructors must be present throughout all hours of program operation and work five days a week, Monday through Friday, normally from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Thursdays, the program runs from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for early release; district minimum days on Tuesdays are also scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Instructors may be asked to stay past the scheduled time if students are picked up late. The role includes implementing program rules, procedures, and curriculum; creating monthly educational curriculum with supervisor approval; and preparing schedules and lesson plans for grade-specific activities. Instructors track student progress, maintain program materials and attendance documents, and communicate with the Site Coordinator. They collaborate with staff and manage service learners, interns, and volunteers. The position is funded through a grant or contract for a specified period, and employment beyond the current funding period depends on continued funding.
