About The Position

The Tissue Processing Tech position is based in the Wet Production area at Evergen’s West Lafayette facility. The role offers a structured career path from entry-level to highly skilled technician, with hands-on, one-on-one training from a dedicated trainer. Team members develop technical skills, learn company rules and regulations, and build confidence in reading and following work instructions before gradually transitioning to work with minimal supervision. The work involves preparing aseptic workstations and processing animal tissue to manufacture medical devices to specifications. Tasks are performed in a cleanroom environment and require focused, precise handwork and adherence to written procedures. Team members typically work closely alongside others and spend about 90% of the shift seated. The position follows a Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule, with one 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven track record of reliability, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn.
Ability to move or lift objects weighing 10–50 pounds.
Ability to stand for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

Perform tissue processing activities in accordance with work instructions to achieve quality and yield outcomes.
Accurately process tissue products and meet production schedules.
Work safely, wear appropriate PPE, and apply aseptic techniques in a cleanroom or controlled environment, independently or as part of a team.
Properly dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Complete paperwork accurately and perform data entry in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
Support key annual operations performance metrics.
Propose and implement continuous-improvement ideas.
Communicate and act honestly, positively, and considerately.
