Tire Sales and Installation Part Time
About The Position
BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a part-time Tire Sales and Installation professional to join their team. This role is responsible for assisting members with tire selection and purchases, performing proper tire installation and repair, completing necessary documentation, and adhering to tire bay policies and procedures. The position emphasizes delivering service excellence, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and working collaboratively to achieve goals. Team members are expected to act with honesty and integrity, prioritize member needs, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. A key aspect of the role involves understanding department performance reporting and its impact on the business.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

- Prior tire installation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying sizes for vehicles.
- Properly install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
- Repair tires as needed.
- Complete necessary tire bay documentation for sales and service orders.
- Maintain tire bay policies and procedures.
- Dispose of tires properly.
- Fill propane tanks if certified per DOT requirements.
- Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
- Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
- Coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs.
- Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
- Understand and utilize available special-order tire programs.
- Comply with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Properly utilize tire bay equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
