About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Part-Time Tire Sales and Installation professional to join their team. This role involves assisting members with tire selection and purchases, performing proper installation and repair, completing necessary documentation, and adhering to tire bay policies and procedures. Team members are expected to carry out job functions with accountability, honesty, and integrity, prioritizing member concerns and ensuring a safe and positive environment. Collaboration, respect, and a commitment to speed and agility are key. Members are to receive excellent service, with concerns resolved promptly. Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and GOLD Club Standards (Grand opening look, stocked items, executed promotions, accurate signage, clean and organized) is expected. Understanding department performance reporting and the impact of consistent execution on the business is also important.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying sizes for vehicles.
• Properly install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
• Properly dispose of tires.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Utilize available special-order tire programs.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilize tire bay equipment.
• Fill propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
• Ensure all tire bay scheduling data and documentation is completed for sales and service orders.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
