About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a part-time Tire Sales and Installation professional to join their team. This role involves assisting members with tire selection and purchases, performing proper tire installation and repairs, maintaining tire bay documentation, and adhering to tire bay policies and procedures. The position emphasizes delivering excellent member service, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and working collaboratively to achieve team goals. Team members are expected to execute job functions with honesty, integrity, and a focus on member needs, while also embracing inclusion and diversity. A commitment to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate; Fast, Friendly, Full, Fresh, Clean) and GOLD Club Standards (Grand opening look, stocked items, accurate signage, clean and organized) is essential. Understanding departmental performance reporting and the impact of consistent execution on the business is also key.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying vehicle sizes.
• Properly installing tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
• Performing tire repairs.
• Completing necessary tire bay documentation for sales and service orders.
• Maintaining tire bay policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandising tire displays and automotive products.
• Providing knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Coordinating with Home Office regarding member tire needs.
• Maintaining an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Understanding and utilizing available special-order tire programs.
• Complying with safety and cleanliness standards.
• Properly utilizing tire bay equipment.
• Filling propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
• Performing other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Carrying out job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Supporting the application of club policies, procedures and compliance.

• Properly disposing of tires.
