Tire Sales and Installation Part Time
About The Position
The Tire Sales and Installation team member assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes tire mounting, dismounting, rotation, and balancing; tire and automotive-product merchandising; supply inventory management; and service at the tire desk. The team member helps maintain a clean, professional, and safe tire bay and waiting area, follows club policies, and may work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
Nice To Haves
- Prior tire installation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for their vehicles.
- Install tires by mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing them; perform tire repairs as applicable.
- Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks when needed and certified under DOT requirements.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe tire bay and waiting area; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
- Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
- Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
- Comply with safety, cleanliness, club policies, and procedures, and properly use tire bay equipment.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
