About The Position

Kal Tire is seeking Tire Retread Technicians to join our team at our re-manufacturing facility in Sparwood, BC. As a Tire Retread Technician, you’ll play a key role in extending the life of commercial tires through the retreading process, helping reduce waste and support our commitment to sustainability. You’ll be part of a close-knit production team that values precision, safety, and teamwork. This is a hands-on, full time, permanent role in a unionized environment. You’ll work in a manufacturing environment that can be warm, noisy, and fast-paced. You’ll be on your feet most of the day, using hand tools and machines to inspect, buff, and prepare tires for retreading. The work is repetitive but methodical, requiring patience and a strong attention to detail. You’ll wear protective gear (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots) and follow strict safety procedures. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to meet daily production goals.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools or equipment.
• Ability to use PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic and reliability; attendance and teamwork are essential.
• Basic computer skills for recording production data.
• Legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities
