About The Position

BestDrive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Continental, is seeking a Retread Technician to inspect, analyze, repair, or rebuild CLT and Medium Truck tires. This role adds value to customers and generates revenue for BestDrive by providing innovative tire solutions and award-winning products. BestDrive Commercial Tire Centers specialize in fleet customers and offer a wide array of multi-brand truck tires.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
Ability to work on a team and independently.
Ability to communicate, verbally and written, clearly and professionally with co-workers and management.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years previous manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Inspect casings using established tools, procedures, methods, and work instructions.
Run casings through the shearography machine, analyze results, and grade the casing.
Buff the remaining tread of the casings using established tools, procedures, methods, and work instructions.
Apply tread to the prepared casing using established tools, procedures, methods, and work instructions.
Place the casing in the envelope, install the inner envelope, and ensure an airtight seal for curing.
Vacuum test the envelope to ensure a proper seal.
Repair injuries to the casings using established tools, procedures, methods, and work instructions.
Load the curing chamber and set the proper curing parameters for the load.
Communicate with BestDrive salesmen and end-user fleet personnel for completion of desired service tasks.
Complete necessary paperwork legibly.
Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
