About The Position

As a Tire & Lube Technician at a Wilks Auto Service center, you will gain hands-on experience performing basic automotive services while delivering an outstanding customer experience. You will learn to mount and balance tires, perform oil changes, and conduct additional automotive preventative maintenance. You will train with mid- and senior-level automotive technicians to learn additional automotive services. The role also involves manual tasks for extended periods, helping keep the shop clean and organized, and promptly reporting safety issues to management.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong work ethic and motivation to produce results independently.

• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous automotive preventative maintenance experience.
• Previous formal automotive training.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform basic automotive services, including mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, and filter replacements.
• Train with mid- and senior-level automotive technicians to learn additional automotive services.
• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations.
• Follow company policies for vehicle care and operation.
• Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
• Report safety issues immediately to management.
• Help keep the shop clean and organized.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
