Tire Inspector/Repairer - Transportation Department
About The Position
The CCSD Transportation Department is seeking a Tire Inspector/Repairer. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and operational readiness of the district's transportation fleet. The specific hours and work location are to be determined and may change. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Nevada driver's license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in tire repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of tire types, sizes, and specifications.
- Ability to use hand and power tools related to tire repair.
- Ability to lift and move heavy tires.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a fleet maintenance environment.
- ASE certification in a related area.
Responsibilities
- Inspects tires on district vehicles for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
- Repairs tires as needed, including patching and plugging.
- Replaces tires when repairs are not feasible or cost-effective.
- Maintains inventory of tires and repair supplies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
