About The Position

The Tire and Lube Technician is an entry-level position at Hertz and serves as an entry point to its maintenance team. The role performs preventative maintenance, with a focus on oil and tire changes. Applicants should be quick learners and have an assortment of tools, including oil filter wrenches, a socket set, and a toolbox. The hourly rate is $16.00. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and no prior experience is required. Prior automotive repair experience, whether personal or professional, is preferred. The technician must have a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• Must be a quick learner.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs with oversight.
• Must be able to use shop equipment such as lifts, tire-changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools.
• Must have an assortment of tools, including oil filter wrenches, a socket set, and a toolbox.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior automotive repair experience, personal or professional.
• Familiarity with 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch impact wrenches; metric and standard sockets in long and short lengths; oil filter wrenches and tools; a TPMS tool for resetting tire sensors; combination wrenches; and screwdrivers.
