About The Position
ASME Certified Pipe Welding Shop and NavSea approved, specializing in commercial standard welding (a step above typical). Focus on custom fluid delivery systems for the Navy and marine applications, including skids with filtration pumps, 1-3 inch pipe, power systems for ships, structural and pipe welding. Involves drilling holes, fabricating pipes, making angled frames, miter cuts, and more.
Requirements
- Experience with TIG welding on Stainless Steel.
- ASME/NavC qualification required (all hires must get qualified).
- Must be reliable and adaptable.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to handle both TIG and MIG is a plus.
- 5+ years of welding experience preferred for experienced hires.
- Recent graduates from 2-year welding schools welcome; company invests in training to develop skills.
- Strong attitude emphasized over perfect experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on Stainless Steel (primary) and Carbon Steel materials.
- Handle a combination of structural and pipe welding for marine systems.
- Fabricate components such as frames, pipes, and skids.
- Use thumb control for TIG welding (no pedal; adaptation required).
