About The Position

Reads and interprets shop drawings and documents, then fabricates and welds sheet metal parts into completed fixtures. Maintains a clean and safe work environment and inspects finished items for quality assurance. The position requires passing a TIG welding practical test, reading blueprints, and reading a tape measure to 1/16 inch. A high school diploma is preferred. The employee must furnish a welding hood and their own hand tools. Pay depends on experience.

Requirements

• Must pass a TIG welding practical test.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work in an area that is not climate controlled during summer months.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach occasionally.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must furnish a welding hood and own hand tools.

Nice To Haves
