About The Position

Ameron Ametek MRO is seeking a skilled TIG Welder with aerospace or precision fabrication experience to join its Welding Department. The successful candidate will weld aerospace components made of aluminum and stainless steel according to customer blueprints and specifications, meeting high standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; an AA degree is also listed.
• 4–6 years of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) experience.
• Certification in stainless steel and aluminum welding.
• Ability to pass groove and fillet weld qualification on material.
• Ability to pass the AWS Jaeger J2 visual acuity test.
• Familiarity with AWS D17.1.
• Ability to read and interpret weldment blueprints and welding symbols.

Nice To Haves

• ASME Welder Certifications are desirable.
• Professional certification through the American Welding Society is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow established welding procedure specifications (WPS) and schedules.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and shop orders.
• Perform visual inspections to verify weld compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Tooling to improve weld fixtures and shop aids.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Take ownership and accountability for all welding activities.
